Adventure Five: The Bridge of Hope

Destination: The Bridge of Hope

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him... — Romans 15:13 (NIV)

“Take the Bridge”

Explorers, look how far we've traveled!

  • We've discovered that everyone is welcome in God's Kingdom.
  • We've walked The Path of Love.
  • We've followed The River of Grace.
  • And last week, we climbed The Mountain of Courage.

Now imagine that we've reached the other side of the mountain.

But there's a problem.

There's a huge valley in front of us.

And stretching across it is...a bridge.

Would you cross it?

You might look at that bridge and wonder:

  • Is it strong enough?
  • Where does it lead?
  • What's waiting on the other side?
  • Sometimes life feels like standing at the beginning of a bridge.

Kids might wonder:

  • Will I make friends?
  • Will school be okay?
  • What happens if something changes?

Adults wonder about things too.

What's going to happen next?

How will this work out?

What if my plans change?

We can't always see what's waiting on the other side.

But God gives us something that helps us keep moving. Hope.

The Bible says:
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him...” — Romans 15:13 (NIV)

Did you hear the important words?  As you trust in Him.

Our hope isn't built on knowing exactly what's going to happen.

Our hope is built on knowing God.

Think about our bridge.

We don't have to know everything that's waiting on the other side before we take the first step.

We trust the bridge.

And in life, we can trust God.

When we don't know what tomorrow holds...God is already there.

When we're waiting for something...God is with us.

When things don't happen the way we expected...God hasn't left us.

So, when you find yourself standing at one of life's bridges, remember:

Trust God → Hold on to Hope → Keep Moving Forward

Because hope reminds us:

We may not know what is ahead—but we know Who goes with us.

Closing Prayer

God of hope, when we can't see what comes next, help us trust You.
Fill us with hope, joy, and peace, and help us keep moving forward with You.
Amen.
